Photographer’s Note
In Sevastopol overlooking the harbor entrance stands the Prince Volodymyr Cathedral,symbolic of the coming of Christianity to the area we call Crimea. Upon the baptism of Volodymyr the Great in 989 AD the movement which would become the Russian Orthodox Church was launched. This arch in the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Khersonesos framed the church nicely for me.

Very attractive photo. Composition is excellent and the picture is clear and sharp. Good notes too. One forgets that there was a part of the world called the Crimea. Thanks for the informative notes.
