Sevastopol city. Street artist and lady. These artists entertain people on their way - and almost all are amused. I like this social interaction.

“Sevastopol is a port city in Ukraine, located on the Black Sea coast of the Crimea peninsula. It has a population of 342,451 (2001). The city, formerly the home of the Russian then Soviet Black Sea Fleet, is now home to a Ukrainian naval base and a Russian naval base in facilities leased by the Russian Navy. The headquarters of both the Ukrainian Naval Forces and Russia's Black Sea Fleet are located in the city. In 1993, the city was the subject of a territorial dispute between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
The unique geographic location and navigation conditions of the city's harbours make Sevastopol a strategically important naval point. It is also a popular seaside resort and tourist destination, mainly for visitors from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.
The trade and shipbuilding importance of Sevastopol's port has been growing since the fall of the Soviet Union, despite the difficulties that arise from the joint military control over its harbours and piers.
Sevastopol is also an important centre of marine biology research. In particular, studying and training of dolphins has been conducted in the city since the end of World War II. It was first conducted as a secret naval programme to use the animals for special undersea operations…..” (wikipedia)

Hi Wolf, I like your images of people- they always seem to have a funny side- the contrast between these two people could not be more dramatic- the womens glance- . very well done and congrats Rich

Very funny photo the way the lady is looking at this street artist and he or she trying to avoid her by staring down. You have captured it at the right moment. Great shot with sharpness.

It seems that wherever you go with your camera, people start behaving in the most photogenique way, like they are searching for amusing coincidences for you to photograph. I love the eyes of the woman and, as always, the "cleanliness" of he composition.

Hi Wolfgang,

I like very much all these street artist looking like monuments or people late gone. I imagine it must be hard job, just stay there without move. and who pays them? Only passers by? it wouldn't be much. Nice scene, funny look of the old lady.

Isn't it amazing, that this once closed city that you couldn't approach is now open, you can make photos of war vessels as much as you like. Interesting town, still looking Russian.

an other of yours interesting sociological shots here: -) this time the looks of everyone of the protagonists is indeed funny and make the photo. but also the lines that are repeated, between the house and the T-shirt of the lady are a harmony reason. in a word a funny photo with style. cheers!
