Photographer’s Note
Being found in 1650ies, Kharkiv is a rather young city. More than 70 years have past after the foundation before first stone buildings appeared among those built of wood and clay, and those first stone buildings are now withing the architecture ensemble of Sviato-Pokrovsky monastery.
Frankly saying, I am not sure whether the oldest building in the city is exactly the one you see on the picture; it just looked nicely in the light of the evening sun when I was passing by with my camera.
