Monastery is build on the shore of Don river. The area has very long monastic tradition that begins with the 9th century. In these mountains lived a big number of hermits.

Hello Cosmin!
That's a very nice photograph, so well composed where you put together the luxurious vegetation, the winding river and those beautiful buidings in the foreground, with a very interesting architecture, full of shapes and colors that are very attractive! My grandfather was ukrainian, however, I didn't know him and it's pretty difficult to have information on the Country, even nowadays, hence I'm always happy to find pictures of the Country in here, specially good ones like this!

I`m a great fan of this kind of churcharchitecture and this is a great shot,taken from an excellent POV.The Image has a great depth and I like the composition with the high horizon.I like too the bright colors at the moastary and how it`s framed by the trees.

Great architecture, I believe little known.
You have chosen a spectacular point of view showing that it is located on a hill next to a turn of a river.
I like the contrast between natural colors of nature and rather bright strong colors of architecture.

Lovely scene of the Don and the Monastery.Very nicely done. Clear and sharp. Good Work. I was in the Ukraine last year. Visited Odessa and suburbs there. Beautiful country.
