Photographer’s Note

The remainings of the railbridge over Dnipro river at Kaniv.
Built in 1930s, the bridge served as the only evacuation way during 1941 German offense and was fiercly bombed, which lead the right bank section being destroyed.
After the war, the bridge was repaired slightly to serve for road traffic, but later was abandoned, as much better bridge at the Kaniv Hydro Dam (at the background) was built nearby in 1950s.
