[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is from the Gorges de l'Areuse, near Boudry in western Switzerland. The shot shows part of the middle section of the gorge, not far from the hydro plant (for those who know the area). I made the image during a hike last Winter (icicles are just visible at the top of the frame) where parts of the path were made treacherous due to an accumulation of sheet ice.

I deliberately chose not to use a polariser to kill the reflections as I'm intrigued by the interaction between reflections and the view through the water.

I certainly can understand your choice about the polarizer, because the water surface looks magnificent! What I like, too, is that one can still see the bottom through the water, so the degree of reflections is perfect. Nice natural colors and just great that you had a tripod with you :)
