Some one had told me, if you go to Luzern, start taking pictures early in the morning. He was right because the water is still and brings nice reflections, and the swans are hungry, they wait for visitors to throw them pieces of bread.
But where are the swans ? not always where you expect them for the picture they usually gather where they expect food. As I always say, luck is also a good factor for good pictures, the weather, the wind, the timing, and perhaps this lonely swan ! The Kapellbrucke,(Chapel Bridge ) build in 1333, is the oldest and longest compeletely wooden and roofed bridge in Europe. It has been renovated, restored and shortened several times during the last 700 years. In the year 1993 the bridge nearly burned down but thanks to very accurate construction plans, it could be rebuilt within only 8 months completely.

Die Brücke is nice but I find the mountain and the swan even more compelling. Excellent wide-angle composition. Wish the swan's reflection was completely in the picture but can't have everything. Regards,
Hakan

Bonjour Izzet,
Belle image de ce lac et de ce très beau pont de bois heureusement restauré.
Les couleurs matinales sont effectivement douces et agréables.
Le cygne est beau mais c'est tout car je trouve ces "oiseaux" antipathiques.
Bonne journée.
Amicalement
Marc

Hello Izzet Bey,
Wonderful scenery with the tower and old wooden bridge and their reflections on the water. The blue of the sky and lake, the way the photo is composed with the wooden bridge, the swan and the tower, with the snowy mountains in the background is absolutely wonderful.
I wish you an excellent weekend. Best personal regards. Salvator.

Hello Izzet Bey,
A very beautiful and interesting place, lonely swan is like a gift for us. Wonderful scenery,
Best regards, wish you a very nice weekend,
Tulay

Kapellbrucke also looks amazing at the blue hour and at night, especially from the other side as the architecture is more beautiful. But then again, it would be difficult to capture the swans since long exposure would create motion blur. This bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges I've ever seen, being so medieval and aesthetic. Your compo is very nice what with the swan in the fg and the alps in the bg.
Regards,
Fusun

Izzet

Merhaba Izzet Bey. Yes, that lone swan does add a certain mood to the scene. We can project our own feelings into the picture. The light is exceptional and the sense of depth too especially as it is made more apparent by the tower. lovely blue sky. If you have the time, please have a look at my Sarajevo photo- something for you. Selamlar. Klaudio.

selamlar

A nice variation of the classic motive, Izzet. Good timing to wait for the swan providing an elegant foreground interest, and good low angle in which the perspective along the bridge drives the viewer's eye into the scene, and gazing towards the grand mountains in the back. Have a good weekend.

Izzet,
it can't get more classic than that. The perfect image of a sugar coated Switzerland with the restored Kapellenbruecke. the swan is the icing on the cake. Curious to see that you opted mor for a soft impression acieved with the rather open shutter at f/7.1. Was that really what you wnated consciously?
Peter

Hello Izzet,
A real classical picture of the 'Kapellbrücke*. Couldn't be better, complete withswan, reflection in the water and snow covered mountain in the background......Helvetia in a nutshell.
Conratulations
John

Merhaba Izzet.

Nice "introductory" swan with the typical Swiss mountains in the end.

Well done!

Havanın da güzel olmasıyla İsviçre seyahatiniz hakikaten verimli geçmiş İzzet Bey. Aydınlık bir Luzern sabahında insana dinginlik veren bir göl kıyısı, suyun duruluğu, tarihî ahşap köprü, kuğunun olanca zerafetiyle güne merhaba demesi, görkemli tepenin karlı zirvesi, hepsi çok hoş.

bonjour izzet,
cette image classique a l'avantage d'être particulièrement soignée dans son cadrage et sa conception, un pur régal!!!
