Salut Fred,
Toutes mes félicitations pour la publication dans le 20 Minutes. En voyant la photo je me suis demandé si tu avais accompagné Eric dans son voyage africain... mais non, tu as simplement réussi à faire cette photo en restant tout tranquillement chez toi (alors que d'autres font des milliers de kilomètres).
Le portrait est de grande qualité (mais ça tu le sais déjà) et même l'arrière plan fait croire que l'on se trouve en Afrique. Il posait spécialement pour toi ou bien tu as fait ça pendant un spectacle?

Et bien ça c'est de la tronche... peut-être qu'un f/6.3 aurait donné un peu plus de vue dans le fond qui a l'air intéressant, surtout avec ton choix de compo qui laisse de la place derrière... félicitations pour le 20 minutes...

I like that this has been shot in Switzerland. Great. Good use of fill in flash. Neat expression. Maybe I would have liked to see the contrast with the city they are parading.

Bonsoir Frederic,
Eh ben dis-donc, c'est tout un visage expressif, ça! Difficile de faire plus expressif, en fait! :))
Et j'aime bien ton titre, car j'ai l'impression que c'est exactement ce qu'il est en train de crier! Je crois que dans ce cas, je préfère la version couleur. Entre autres raisons, parce que le collier est de la même couleur que sa peau et ses dents! :)
Peut-être est-ce un tout petit peu surex, mais si tu as pris ça en RAW, rien qui ne se corrige pas.
Et félicitations pour la publication! Espérons qu'elle sera suivi par plusieurs autres!

J'imagine qu'avec le metier que tu as, une photo pareille doit avoir des petits défauts mais là, comme ça,elle a quand même un maximum d'attrait pour qui la regarde.

Theres no avoiding this image, a great in-your-face shot with a great moment caught. Wouldn't mind seeing it just a touch darker in brightness however.

La version couleur a plus d'impact pour moi

Hi Frederic,

Loooking at the location, I was expecting some dark and humid African country and not Fribourg. Great expression. And yes, I agree with Fritz that he could have easily swallowed your camera in one go!
Nice DoF. I would perhaps have gone for a slightly higher compo, showing the top of the hair and perhaps less dress, or a bit more zoomed out. Well, everyone his own opinion I guess ;-) and still a good shot!

L'arrière plan de ta photo nous transporte vraiment hors des frontières, l'avant plan aussi d'ailleurs :-)

Wonderful intensity here, Frederic, it hits the viewer right in the face like a slap. I like the slight incongruity, from the fact that despite the appropriately blurred background, we can see that this is not a shot from Africa, it's a docile leafy boulevard in the west. Intense and amusing at the same time, not an easy thing to achieve in a photo! Regards, Ken.

This is excellent Frederic. Not really sharp at all. Color is a bit off. I would have also liked to see the top of the man's hair that you cut off. But this one screams (no pun intended) emotion. This is the type of photo where you just throw all the technicals out and concede to the fact it is truly an excellent catch. The right place at the right time. Excellent.

...and yes, reading some of the comments, not the best DOF, not the best crop...blah, blah, blah...who cares...this is a great shot.
