A View with Mountains Photo

Photographer’s Note

A late afternoon view on the mountains, Swiss Alps, in Ticino region, the town of Locarno.

I know, the photo is not perfect, versus the view, that is incredible, in my opinion.

I added saturation +25 and reduced the color temperature -10 to bring out more blue color. Also I added digital flash +12 to lighten the dark part on the right. Adding more of flash would spoil the view of the mountains, that is why I preferred to leave it as it was after mentioned above manipulations. :)

I believe, the view is breathtaking and the photo was done, as many of my photos, on the rush way to the railroad station, in oder not to miss the last train to Zurich.

Hello Irina,

I had heard of the beauty of Locarno an had always wanted to see it. It's now good to see compelling photograph of it. I would probably have increased the color saturation and contrast a little bit -- but on this topic, I believe we disagree (at least from what you mentioned in the critique of one of my photos). This is a well composed shot, with very good perspective. Warm regards,
