Lugano...

A friend of mine used to work there and I was interested how this place looks like. Well, NOT SO BAD at all! :)

I took this view's photo from the high point, after visiting an old cathedral on the top of the hill, climbing up another staircase to the railroad station, which was located even higher! But this breathtaking view was worth it, I did not regret.

I formatted this photo a little: cropped a bit on the right to get rid of some dark corner, that appeared there from nowhere; added saturation +27 and lowered color temperature to -11 to get the water a little more blue. Also sharpened +49. That's all. All other merits are nature's.

Noteworthy: there I had a short dialogue with a native, checking my way to the railroad station, completely in Italian! I was happy that transferring to English was not necessary, as it usually happens with foreign languages that I am not very good with... yet. Auguri!

Nice composition here Irina. I like how you've framed the buiildings with the trees, but I'd have liked to have seen a wider view - more of the buildings in the middle. Did you happen to take other shots of Lugano? I'll check out your portfolio and look forward to seeing more.

Hello Irina:
How are you doing,
Sorry I didnt answer about switzerland as I had a crazy month in june going all over the place.
The tower stands out nicely against its background, but in this case I find that there is a bit too much of the trees which becoe kind of distracting. I realize that maybe from that point of view you didnt have much choice, but anyways the trick to landscape photography is to constantly look for the point of view which will provide the best impact and that is not necessarily the place where you first noticed the landscape.

I like this picture. The colors are amazingly eye-popping but nice non-the-less. I also like how you show the building coming out of the trees. Very nice. tfs.
