Hi Urs,
From just a simple snapshot you made a real good photo out of it. The toning here looks classic, and that is exactly what you were aiming for i think. It worked very well, gives the right sentence and mood to the scene.
Great work...really enhanced the old feeling.

Very beautiful b&w, it looks so authentically old so it's hard for me to imagine it's 2007, not many things have changed since the old times ha?:) I love the framing and the eliptical shape around, can u tell me how did u manage it? Great job.

Impressionnant quand on compare avec l'original. Un travail de retouche impeccable (je comprends les quelques heures de travail....) et un "vieillissement de l'image très bienvenu. J'aime beaucoup le résultat final (une petite réserve pour les coins flous...). Superbe travail, Urs!

very beautiful picture. only wish this picture was in color. though im not any expert in photographu but didnt much like the contrst.
but i guess it'd look better in color or solid B&W.

J'aime bien ce traitement très approprié que tu as fait subir à ton image !
Elle nous ramène plusieurs années en arrière ! Le cadrage est parfait et le vignettage balnc accentue encore cette impression d'ancienneté !

Chapeau pour le boulot de retouche photo (y'en avait des choses à enlever. Le traitement sépia est intéressant mais je le trouve pas assez "dur" à mon goût. Les toits du château sont un peu "brûlés".
Sinon, niveau cadrage c'est parfait.

Quel boulot ! J'adore le résultat final, on retrouve une carte postale des années 20 ! Renforcé par le ton sépia et les contours dégradés qui conviennent bien à mon avis.

A great looking shot where you have combined two of your favourite themes, a castle and a steam train. B&W handling takes us back in times although the fences look modern.

Salut Urs,
Le BW ou le sepia est un bon moyen de rattraper une image prise dans des conditions de lumieres pas terribles, et ca se verifie bien encore une fois ici, en plus ton sujet se prete admirablement bien au vieillissement, je suis moins fan du vignettage ovale que tu as rajoute en PP par contre.

like a sepia postcard, well done, a fine view with the curving train coming from behind the house and the imposant old building on top, the oval photoshopping not really my liking, a bit too dominating, compared with original a good fill in of the sky.

J'aime beaucoup le traitement que tu as donné a cette image, est formidable. Le blanc et oir, un peu sepia, le vignetage, la desaturation du noirs.. tout montre un ambiance original et fortement ancien! Et en plus tu es un maître de la tecnique. Thanks.

Ca donne vraiment l'impression d'un vieille photo prise avec une boite carrée dans les années '40, avec les coins surexposés. J'ai vu le Workshop et je dois te dire que tu as fait du beau travail.

Belle photo de ce train qui arrive toute vapeur,il faut avouer que ce NB, avecles coin brumeux et cette forme brumeuse arrondie autour de la scène, du chateau et de l' ensemble me font penser que je revois dans mes reves,l' ancien temps ou ces train a vapeurs m' enmenait partout. Bonjour Urs,
ce qui est comique, c'est que tu mettes une date sur une photo intemporelle.
Cela fait vraiment vieille carte postale, le n/b vieillit autant que le sépia.
J'aime ce train en pleine courbe qui vient vers nous.
La compo est originale, l etraitement encore plus.

Urs, j'apprécie le travail de bénédictin sur cette photo pour lui donner l'aspect d'une très vieille photo. Autrefois les photographes aimaient bien donner cet encadrement vaporeux. Excellent.
