Photographer's Note
This is a detail of a building facade in a narrow street right behind the church St-Germain in the old town. Not far from Rue des Granges, which is one of the most ancient residential streets of this quarter where only rather fortunate families have their "Hôtel particulier".

It's a good series of architectural details you're giving us here Gal. This is particular well managed, with clear details in the shadows.

Gal, you have a good parade of pictures in this series. The way you cropped this is very interesting. The specks of colors distributed in the frame inside the frame is interesting. It makes us look closer and learn to appreciate another good point of this picture: texture. Good shot.

You have a lot of very interesting archtecture in Geneva, I like the particular windows' frames and the little roof over the door. Very well seen and composed!

This is excellently composed. The proportions are just right. The pastel colours with the strong blue window are a nice contrast. The lighting with the diffuse shadow are great.

First of all I'd like to thank you for this whole series of Geneva photographs - so good to learn about it without travelling. And has a special value as if one visits as a tourist would never pay attention to these beautiful details - or will have no time to explore it all.
This is very good work - I like all the tiny details and colours and various shapes. It makes me 'feel' the place and I can almost smell it as well!
Can you believe?

Boa foto, Gal.
Gosto bastante da composição, aperciei ver esta arquitectura diferente, onde a porta esta num nivel abaixo da rua.
Well done

Elle complète très agréablement la série. Très bonne qualité : niveau des détails ; couleurs très vraies. Ce n'est pas ou véritable coup de coeur, mais elle vaut le détour. Bravo!

Impeccable composition Gal showing once again the distinctive environs of Geneva. I especially appreciate the black grill over the door and windows mirroring precisely the stone curve above the window, as well as the blue of the shutters appearing in the tiny piece of hardware in the stone wall at the extreme right. You pull us in close to this intimate meeting with some family's charming residence, their plants sitting on the window sill. Very nice indeed.

Les matériaux (pierre et bois) sont bien capturés. La composition est aussi particulièrement amusante : porte et volets du premier étage coupés. Et titre excellent. Bravo Gal !

Great job at extracting a very simple scene and turning it into an effective, powerful picture.

A strong, simple & effective image. The greenery inside the building was a surprise as it's not obvious in the thumbnail.

Hi Gal,
I like a lot the composition of this pic. Very carefully positioned each item in the frame. I like a lot your new style of building photography as well as your previous one of street photography!
