Photographer’s Note
Well, yes, you’re not mistaken, this is really a photograph taken by Gal, not later than this early morning when Geneva woke up gently to the world. I confess this isn’t the type of photograph I usually take, but the surroundings were so calm and the morning light so appealing, I couldn’t avoid taking a pic.
The building on the left is the BFM (Bâtiment des Forces Motrices). Originally inaugurated in 1886 it was equipped with all the machinery to regulate the level of the lake and furnish water to the city. It is now a place where every sort of exhibitions are held, as well as theatre or danse shows.
On the right is Quai du Seujet and the river is, of course, the Rhône. Enjoy the postcard.

I've was just thinking what you were expecting as I read your note. Though I do remember some thing of the sort from your Catalunian trip a few years ago.
Anyway, for a rare excursion, an expert piece.

:) good morning!
you're right about the first question that crossed my mind, glad you answered it right away :).
well ... peace is good and there are a lot of people around the world that would kill (i know, i know but i truly believe that the affirmation contains a lot of truth) to live in such peaceful surroundings.
am glad you had such a beautiful morning and decided to share it with us - beautiful postcard, indeed - thanks!

ps: most of the time, change is refreshing ... even if it's only temporary ... and yes, even you are entitled to be different :) ... probably this shot will gather a lot of points ... just because it proves that you are human too and you know people would rather have someone like themselves around then someone special, different or god forbid even better then their everyday and boring selves

I really do not know if it is your style or not. What I know is that I clicked on the thumbnail as soon as I saw it. No hesitation what so ever. I was attracted by the composition and the colours, which are superb. After that I noticed the impeccable sharpness of the picture. Well done.

Linda.
Bom fim de semana,
ricardo

A Postcard, indeed...
I feel I can just flip it around and start writing some words in the back...
"The weather is here. Wish you were beautiful" :-)
It might not be your style, but you executed it very professionally...

Donc elle me plaît, car tu as su mettre en valeur cet endroit.

Superior architectural shot with loving attention to detail. Crisp colors, glorious light, and sharp as a tack... What more could one ask for?
Best,

Lembro-me deste edifício das fotos do Jean-Yves.

Well your certainly living up to the teaching part in the TE motto. I appreciate the simplicity of this scene here, as the buildings intergrate with the landscape around it, portraying the calm feeling which you talk about in your note.
