Near the best lake in the world to understand immediately that mountain building the way you were told in school is a lie.

Glarus Alps (Glarneralpen) in the background, the frame for Europe's deepest valley, abruptly ending on the other side at Linthal, the only village in Europe located at the bottom of a 3,000+ meters vertical drop.
