Photographer’s Note

This is one of the better plane window shots I've ever gotten. I was flying from Lyon to Munich over Switzerland (I think) and the thick clouds covered the ground below. However, many Alpine peaks were towering over the clouds, and you could see whole villages and roads on their sides, partially drowning in the white mist.

wish I had more to say .. maybe that the light is pretty great as well ...

Great capture of this wonderful scene. The clouds really look like sea and the mountain tops like islands. Good use of the metaphor in your title.

Bonjour Boris,
La scène est vraiment superbe, ces nuages qui ressemble à un fleuve qui se jette à la mer et les paturages enneigés qui se dessinent en formes.
