Photographer’s Note

Sight since the top of the Simplon pass (2006 m) in direction of north. This pass makes the link between the Haut-Valais and the Italy. We can see in the foreground (distance of 6 km), the village of Glimmuschir (altitude 1819 m). Behind him, on the other pouring of the valley of the Rhone, at a distance of 15.5 km, there are the stations of Riederalp and Bettmeralp. The black top just located in the clouds, is the Bettmerhorm (2872 m) at a distance of 19 km. Behind these stations, there is the valley of Aletschwald, with the glacier of Aletsch that we guesse (small piece of white). Behind there are the tops of the Alps valaisannes north, with GrossWannenhorn (3905 m) just above the top of the Bettmerhorn, with the side of snow on the right side. It is located at more than 28 km of the Simplon pass.
