Tarasp-Vulpera is an idyllic mountain town, located at 1250-1470 metres above sea level right in the center of the world-famous Lower Engadin Valley, Switzerland. Tarasp Castle, built in 1040, is the central landmark of Lower Engadine. It offers a spectacular view of the valley and should not be missed. Visit the pump room of Tarasp where you can enjoy mineral water right from the source. The sources of over 20 mineral springs are located in the vicinity of Tarasp-Vulpera and Scuol. Some of these have been tapped and are used for mineral water cures, carbonic acid salt baths and other health baths.
In the early 19th century, the palace was bought by the Dresden industrialist Dr. Lingner for 20,000 francs, and renovated from the ground up. Planking and furnishings for the castle were purchased from Buendner patrician homes and nearby noble courts. Lingner had a large concert organ built in the old armoury- Tarasp was to become a melodious palace. The castle’s organ is a masterpiece from the Dresden-based organ manufacturer Jehmlich and, thanks to an endowment in 1991, was completely refurbished. With more than 3,000 flue pipes, the castle’s organ can be heard today at the annual concerts held in the ballroom.

Good point of view on the castle!
Wis to include some of this fine architecture in the town, giving a very pleasant composition and a good context...
Super details, and the colours are vivid... A very pleasant image to look at!

Intersting point of view on this Swiss village, with an excellent sight on the medieval castle. Good sharpness, good colors (but perhaps a bit poscard like). I like the row of trees leading to the castle.

All the best,

Emmanuel
