Water foutain
------------------------------------------
Originally a simple security valve at the Coulouvrenière hydraulic factory, this water fountain has, over the years, grown to be the symbol of Geneva.
In 1891, it was transferred to the "Rade", to become a major tourist attraction. However, it was not until 1951 that it was provided with an autonomous pumping station, propelling 500 litres of water per second to a height of 140 metres at a speed of 200 km per hour (124 miles/h).
Eight 9,000-watt projectors light the fountain’s majestic column in the evening as it soars skywards.

A beautiful picture of the symbol of Geneva. I like the way you filled the foreground with all the water and the sight of the buildings and mountains in soft layers at the background. Thanks a lot for sharing, my friend.

Bonjour mon ami Burak,
Par ces grandes chaleurs, il serait bon d'aller sous cette fontaine pyramidale et profiter d'un peu de fraîcheur !
Il y a bien longtemps que je ne suis pas venu à Genève, je remarque que la ville a pris une ampleur considérable.
Très bon cadrage mettant en valeur les éléments importants dans la composition.

The fountain does look impressive. You composed well to keep the fountain off-centre and from this distance it is possible to get a good idea of the size.

maybe there is emptiness here physically but the photographer's mood and pov fills the void very well. nice color and detail. and of course great note.

Hello Burak,
This is a nice classical view of my city and it's world famous landmark. I like your compo with the wall on the bottom right closing the scene and the Salève in the background. However, I think it lacks a bit of contrast so I did a WS.

2006 tinin nisanda cekilmis. burada kar yagdi ve yagiyor hala o fotograftaki saleve e. nemsiiz bir günün derinligi var.cenevreyee gelipte sadece 2 fotograf cekmis olamazsiniz. digerlerini de görmek isterdim. bugün ayni yere inip fotograf cekmek isterdim ama hava kapali.
