Photographer’s Note
On a dreary day in summer, a man enters the train station in Geneva. Is he defeated by life, or merely hunched against the rain?

Ken,
A fantastic black and white. Full of despair and dejection. I love the greyness and the repetitions of the squares. The posture really makes this for me. It seems he is bent over dragging himself along forcing himeself to make the weary steps.
Excellent shot.
Cheers

Indeed a dreary day and special mood you show us,Ken,but I like the shot for your great POV and B&W here,I find it rainy, too, that made the atmopsher more dreary, very well worked and in a great way you composed the man in the frame,Thanks for sharing, nice one,

Hi Ken,
I like your composition. The man seems terribly tired indeed. THe B&W and the emptyness of the street give a dramatic perspective. Well seen, Christophe

Hi Ken,
I am always looking for those kind of image, lonelyness and dejection.
Beautiful black and white

I'm not convinced about the dejection, but nevertheless this is a lovely BW.
The composition is excellent and the detail and tone on the paving stones really appeals to me.
A wonderful study in city life!
Well done

Hi Ken
An interesting b&w photo as you managed to evoke an atmosphere as depicted by the title. Its just the way you've composed this plus the man's bent posture as he carrying his bag - as if he's carrying the burden of all his troubles.
Well done!

It's curious how I fall from those "not so popular" shots. Different pictures seems are not as popular as they should be and this one is another exemple. Very graphical, beautiful B&W, strong emoting, perfect lighting. I love it.

Ken, maybe his bag is just too heavy :) I hope I do not look like this after a busy day at work when I run to the railway station ... this would really depress me ... I always wonder how others see us Swiss and I hope this is not your final "word" ... Excellent b/w work. I really like it and I wanted to come back to this, so here I am. Have a great day, Barbara.
