St Sylvestre Photo

Photographer’s Note

St-Sylvestre is a small village located at the foot of the fribourg Préalpes. From Pierrafortcha, I took this photograph where we distinguishes the houses from St-Sylvestre in the medium. The meadows of Pierrafortcha are still snow-covered on the foreground. The forests and the pastures of the north of the Schwyberg overhang the village on the photograph, but it is a horn the eye, because ain reallity, there is the valley of the river Gérine (Argera) which runs between two.

A beautiful monochrome scene. I like the way the mountains fade almost to nothing in the mist.
I might have cropped just below the foreground trees and bushes as I find the ploughed field in the foreground draws the eye too much.

J'aime beaucoup la composition de cette photo avec les
différents milieux qui la composent, les champs, le village,
et la montagne. J'aime aussi la couleur dominante bleue qui
refroidie bien ce paysage hivernal. A bientôt

Bonsoir Jacques,
Avec toutes ces photos de printemps que l'on voit sur TE depuis quelques jours, ça fait plaisir de voir encore de la neige. Je vois que les Préalpes Fribourgeoises sont encore bien lotties et d'après ce que j'ai entendu ça risque fort d'en remettre un couche à la fin de la semaine.
J'aime bien ta compo avec la lumière sur le village et les pentes au-dessus et les silhouettes des arbres au premier plan.

Une beau panorama hivernal et enneigé, j'aime bien cette luminosité douce surtout sur le village et les arbres qui complètent ta composition, l'ensemble est réussi.

This is a fine composition - I like the line of trees in the foreground which provide an attractive frame. The almost monochrome palette works well and i like the misty feel of the mountain further away. A very attractive scene!

Bien j'aime la composition , le cadrage semble parfait , j'aime cette ambiance hivernale et la neige recouvrant ce petit village est du plus bel effet .
