I do not know the story that hides behind this shoe... I imagine a little boy returning at home, announcing to his mother that he lost his shoe...
Having followed a path of the wood of Finges which carried out to the bed of the wild Rhone, I discovered this one completely drained on a broad zone. The bottom of the bed was populated by stones on all its surface, stones lying on a sandy ground and where some grasses and bushes also established their place of camping. Walking in this strange universe of the drained wild Rhone, imagining the water which runs there more abundantly and with strength at other periods of the year, I discovered this shoe, lost, in a context which did not belong to him. I have made some photographs, of which those which I present here, somewhat improved by post-processing in order to create an effect of dream, of strangeness who try to recreate the feeling that I had by discovering this shoe.

A good narrative. The minimal colors work. Thanks for showing both pictures. I like the one on the right better. Again, the minimal colors in the picture make this an interesting picture.

It's like a short story, or a silent movie, and again an extraordinary way to use the "large" format. I think the post-processing you did on the two images is quite effective. I'm already curious what you have in mind for your next large posting.

Imagine! A Romantic shot with a shoe in it! It is odd how the shoe looks like it really belongs there, yet, it really shoudn't. Perhaps your excellent composition gives enough hints at the environment here that we can imagine more shoes elsewhere in this place?

Grande classe
