Press Release from May 31th, 2005
Motto Street Parade 2005:
Today is tomorrow
One of the world’s most color and beautiful lifestyle events is rapidly approaching. The 14th Street Parade will roll through the streets of Zurich in around two months time on August 13, 2005. This year’s motto, “today is tomorrow”, is intended to encourage people to live more consciously today so that they can experience the future more intensively.
The Street Parade is a demonstration for love, peace, freedom and tolerance. The event’s absolutely peaceful atmosphere has been its distinguishing characteristic for years. It is a demonstration for being and celebrating together without violence, regardless of race, skin color, sexual orientation or special interests. The past 13 years have shown that this peaceful, tolerant co-existence is alive and well at the Street Parade.
Today is tomorrow: Those who care for themselves and others today live more happily tomorrow! “Today is tomorrow” also means looking after your health: Omnipresent dangers still exist in the form of illnesses such as AIDS and drug consumption. Drugs that are taken today can take revenge tomorrow. It takes just one careless excess today to cause unbelievable suffering tomorrow.
It’s worth keeping this in mind: Today is tomorrow.
I hope you like the result (and if there are any comments, idée or even dislikes let me know, it’s all about learning and sharing)

Je ne comprends pas trop l'interet de ce cadrage avec l'oreille collée contre le bord gauche.

Nice close-up (for a dentist - lol), sharp and clear... Might be a little too close to the left border like Murmeli said. I would also appreciate seeing the environment. Fortunately there is that fine note you wrote explaining what is this street parade... I would have liked to be there, with such a theme.

Just wrote your note in the recent forum thread about critiques -- I stand with you but this is a subject that is discussed since TE started some 2 years ago and nothing is ever done about it...
I must say it's hard to really critique your pics, I went through most of your portfolio and your pics are really great..

Hi
I like the photograph, I like the expression of the guy (healthy teeth :-), the shifted compo does not obstruct me. I find the pov is very useful with the note.
"today is tomorrow" this sentence will not have to be quoted only in this parade. the absence of context proves that it is in the life everyday that it finds its relevance.
thank's fot this message

Hi Ishai.
Nice portrait of this incredible man at the Street Parade.
The angle of shot is very good and this sharpness is perfect.
But I don't like very much the framing ... that's a detail ....
Good compo

Very provocative portrait or better said facial expression caught in a right time, cropped a bit to close on the left I'm afraid - still strong enough for one not to be bothered that much with composition but to enjoy this not-every-day documentary image.
Shear exctasy!
