Photographer’s Note

I was on my way back downhill after an the exciting afternoon at mount Titlis. Titlis is one of the most interesting places if you love to be on top of the Alps.

A journey from Engelberg to Titlis is covered in 3 different cable cars, which is really exciting. The last cable car is Rotair, the world’s first revolving gondola; the broad cabin begins to rotate and during the five-minute journey it turns completely round once, giving you a 360° panorama of the ride over the vast and impressive Titlis Glacier.

If you like to ski or want to try some snow adventure sport, titlis is place to be. Besides these cable cars there is another sky lift available. It can otherwise be called an open cable car :)

It's very important that you visit Titlis on a clear day.

Wow. Splendid colour of the sky! I like the composition with the wires but what are the two black "poles" at the bottom? They take the effekt out of the shot I think and it would have been a lot better without them. Looks like a nice place to ski :)

hi,
the scenery ahead is great. In my opinion however, the foreground has too many unpleasant elements. I would say the picture would have been tremendous with no cable lines and the two black things. Also, the picture could use some contrast and color burn on the sky, to bring out the fantastic blue/white combination.
PS. I did a workshop on this photo, and cloned out the black bars and enhanced the image

This sight is excellent.
The cables form a beautiful perspective.
The clouds are very beautiful
And the sky is of a splendid blue.
