Although I realize there are many other routes even more scenic, my favorite train trip has always been this one I took from Locarno to Lucerne. Passing through this region was incredibly beautiful, I was torn the entire trip trying to photograph everything I was seeing and just sitting back and enjoying the ride.
Since I was continually putting my head out of the windows for the best possible view, I figured I’d experiment and try to capture the same sense of motion I was experiencing…and this is what I ended up with!?
Swiss Federal Railways, usually referred to in English using the German abbreviation SBB: Schweizerische Bundesbahnen; French: CFF, Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses; Italian: FFS, Ferrovie federali svizzere; is the national railway company of Switzerland.

Quite effective longish exposure from a moving train showing motion blur well. Yes, its fun to lean out of window and take some action photos. This on is pretty well timed with the train just crossing a small bridge.
I think you don't remember correctly the location. Painting of the train suggests that this is from Locarno-Domodossola line. I'm certain that the train is not of SBB.

Good curve for the train and interesting dynamic effect, well managed, tfs.

A view from a speedy train, Jason, require a speedy shutter, as the human eyes do.
But you managed an effect that gave a sense of velocity on picture.
Extra dynamism is also nice realisation, sometimes like here.
Just be extremely carful popping your head out...

Very nice effect with such perfect clarity on the train, and the rest in blur, and judging by the angle, you must have been leaning fairly far out to catch this! Dont know if I'd be brave enough to try this, I'd be conscious on being bonked in the back of the head by a passing telegraph pole, and wouldnt fancy the bill for having it repaired (the pole, not my head).
Very pleasing colours on the train too!
All teh best

Good morning, Jason,
Good experience with the raining train. It is very hard work and I think this is just the best photo from that session. Good expression, impressive blured landscape. I think it is good contribution to the railway theme on the TE.
I don't remember may be I wrote to you, I've got the tickets.
