Locarno is the capital of the Locarno district, located on the northern tip of Lake Maggiore in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It has a population of about 15,000. The official language of Locarno is Italian. It is the 74th biggest city in Switzerland by population and the 3rd biggest of the canton Ticino, after Lugano and Bellinzona.
Not sure why the windows of this house had been cemented, but it sure made for colorful contrast with a bit of an abstract look.

This cemented window puzzeled me as well, Jason, sure one explanation can possibly be: not letting outside noise and not-wanted papparazzi photographers around... maybe some celeb's live there...
Nice clear shot, fine colors in compo.

Locarno, Lugano... the typical Italian names of towns.
I like to make similar minimalistic picture too. Just a piece of town, good capture of an usual daily life.
My compliments, Jason! Well presented, fine diagonal composition! TFS!

This is an interesting shot, not only the cemented windows, but also the strange 3d effect the whole shot has, its really cool. I think perhaps the turn in teh ballustrade of the stairs may be causing it, creating some funky angles, but its really a nice effect. Great colours on the building too, a nice idea to paint the blocked up window green!
All the best
