Photographer’s Note

The Appenzell Alps were inside the clouds, that made hiking quite uncomfortable at higher altitudes. Humidity also prevented you from using camera there. Anyway, cows seemed not to care about the weather.

Hello Timo,

I love this pastoral scene, set against the mountains and mist of the Alps. The slopes, the cows, the fog... all collaborate to produce a superb shot.

Impressive view of changeable alpine weather. Hard to say if that's rain or just heavy clouds, but this gives chilly feeling. Appenzell is just great when the weather permits.

You get no chance with the weather , but your pictures are excellent , in these difficult conditions . Great misty atmosphere in this one .
