My stitch baptism in Luzern Photo

Photographer’s Note

I started my last trip with a tripod in my equipment, my intention was to try my first photostitching attempt.
I chose the view of Luzern downtown, I know the result is not the best, I'm here to learn and to know your suggestions ;)

ciao Giorgio.
La grande luminosità di questa foto la rende molto piacevole.
Le deformazioni sono certamemte forti.
Anche io, quando ogni tanto mi cimento negli stitch, raramente riesco a fare bene.
Però, sia pur con tutti i limiti di questo genere di foto, la tua mi pare molto buona.
Stefanocer è un maestro in questo ma anche lui spesso deforma.

Hi Giorgio,

It's your first try and it's not perfect, but i don't want to be too hard on your first pano. There is a lot of distortion on the bridge and on the buildings. It shows up the wider you go and you need very good stitching software to make it flawless. No idea which software you used, but for me there is only one....PTGui who does the trick for me. You can adjust the whole image or just seperate files inside the pano...a magical tool, maybe you should try it.
There is also a lot of compression inside, jpg artifacts, but that's a matter of the file size and the limit you have on the kb factor.
Anyway, the view is classic, light is also not bad, so i'm waiting for your next try....keep it up..!!!

ti sei dato alla sperimentazione!
Personalmente ignoro cosa sia lo stich, ma a giudicare dai risultati è una tecnica che occorre imparare.
Bella panoramica con qualche distorsione ai bordi, ma di grande effetto.

Hi Giorgio,
The panoramic picture is well composed. The reflections are great but the quality is rather poor in the large format.
Did you now you can put 400 Kb in theses large posts. Good picture but the compression had no merci with the colors.

anch'io ho spesso fatto degli stitch usando Panorama Maker di Arc Soft. Lo trovo molto valido nelle possibilità di intervenire sui punti di giunzione e nella scelta della focale che può deformare o raddrizzare il risultato.Il problema dello stitch su TE è che non rende, per la compressione, laddove si è invece moltiplicata la definizione. Anche la stampa è sempre un problema, perchè dovrebbe essere molto grande e quindi molto lunga e non si sa mai come conservarla...
Il tuo risultato non è poi così cattivo, e un pò di distorsione non guasta. Se hai usato il grandangolo, ti posso consigliare di usare focali più lunghe.

Luzern is a very good place to try out panos, but first you should begin with nature panos that are easier to realize, still that one is well stitched but shows that important distortion. To what Henk said I'll add keep the height to a maximum of 800 pixels, it makes viewing of the large version much better

Je trouve que c'est un très beau travail, tant dans l'assemblage, la lumière et la composition, une première réussie, j'espére faire aussi bien quand je ferais " un jour" ma première version large :-)
