Hazy Shade of Winter Photo

Photographer’s Note

Brrrrr…. Winter has arrived and as I watch the snow falling persistently outside this evening, I thought this was an appropriate scene to post. On this first ski trip of the season it had been snowing steadily all day and as the evening began to approach we passed this wooden cabin. The cold was biting, but I stopped briefly to take a few shots before my fingers nearly froze. The heavy snow softened all sights and sounds and I felt as if in a dream world.

j'aime bien le froid qui ressort de ta photo surtout quand on admire ce paysage comme moi, bien au chaud ;o) Belle ambiance donnée par la brume et belles teintes.

chez toi aussi la neige à l'air fraîche. Une ambiance qui donne vraiment l'envie de rester chez soi.

Superbe ambiance neigeuse ! Comme quoi on peut faire des phtos magnifiques par temps bouché . Mais la composition , avec le petyt chalet , la barrière , les sapins , est pour beucoup dans cette réussite .

Brr.. Effectively, it seems that the temperature is cold.
It is a unsual shot because not so many are done with fog; I would have removed the bottom of the picture; the snow which is uniformly white, so not interesting, to be focused on the wooden house and trees.

Hello Susanna,

Un décor presque uniformément blanc ! Seul ce frêle chalet émerge de la tempête de neige qui semble être très dense.
Une image simple mais bien composée qui illustre parfaitement les conditions climatiques du moment.

Splendid winter minimalism. Against that hut one can just see that it's still snowing. I might crop a little from the bottom to get more central composition.

Hoi Susanna! This is a perfect little winter "show" from you, everything white in white and just the pretty chalet and the trees that we can see with the snow flakes falling down pretty heavily. It would be wonderful to be inside the house with a fire going, a hot cup of tea warming me up and looking outside every once in a while, checking how the snow comes closer to the window. une photo pas facile a faire car pour le contraste et la lumiére faut repasser, et tu t'en sors trés bienavec le chalet qui attire l'oeil, beau travail

Fantastic atmosphere with the cute cabin, perfect tree and the blinding snow. As on that day we were playing TE tour guide to Oscar & a friend, the only thing worth doing was going up to the mountains to see snow which we ended up doing. I wouldn't have chosen such weather for the first trip though.

J'aime beaucoup ce style de photo avec jute ce qu'il faut de contraste pour accentuer l'ambiance hivernale et ton cadrage avec cette grande part laissée à la neige en avant plan est très bien vu.Bravo c'est superbe
