Photographer’s Note

We were approaching Yverdon Airfield on this sunny day in spring with our little Piper Archer III. I always enjoy coming down, getting closer to earth which gives lovely patterns as this one is. I still wonder what they grow which looks so white from above. Whatever, it looks nice to me.

Yverdon is in the Western part of Switzerland and very much French speaking. Coming from the German speaking Zurich it is always a little challenge bringing some words together and I am always surprised that it still works.

Hi Barbara,
nice to see this place from above, I took so many times on this motorway.
Well composed, the road is well placed.
I think you can add more contrast and saturation, see the WS.
Welcome in "Welsch" part of Switzerland ! ;-)

A very nice photo from way above the ground. It looks like a cross between the works of Mondrian and an architects fine draftsmanship. More saturation on the colors and this will look like a modern painting.

Nice capture of the flat lands with all the gemotric forms on the ground, Barbara. The intersecting "Autobahn" gives and interesting and challenging contrast to the otherwise busy and talented artists called "Bauer".

Hi Barbara,
What beautiful eye pleasing lines and patters of contrasting colors you have capature in this beautiful photo from the air. The modern highway blends well with the old cultivated fields.
