Photographer’s Note
It was the same day I took this one .
Since there were some people feeding the bird, they flew not so far, so I had an idea to take the landscape with these birds flying away. I just focused to the mountain behind and waited until birds came into my frame in good composition :D
I used PS to convert to BW, the black lower part is actually the lake

Nice shot, it feels as if we are flying with the birds.
I agree that the lake should be cropped out, as it looks too much like a support or something which loses the 'floating' illusion with the image.

hi cessy, marvellous photo and imo the black part is not disturbing at all;
i am just curious how a full colour version looks like; would you mind posting it in the workshop?

Very good picture, it seems you are flying near to the birds.
I would crop the black part.

Cessy,
I really like the combination of the beautiful gestured bird with beautiful mountain. The B&W make a good contrast. Well done.

I've got a strong urge to fly contemplating this one, Cessy. Great capture of the flying gulls, great use of space. The slight blur of the birds gives a feeling of easiness....

Compositionally this shot is exceptional. I like the decision to go to B/W, but it might be nice to see the original in a workshop, just for the sake of curiosity. You had an excellent idea here and pulled it off wonderfully, congrats on that!
There you go, one smiley for you. :)

You really have amazing pictures in your gallery. I really enjoyed "Annecy #4" and then this one, which share a likeness in the composition and the atmosphere, especially with the inclusion of plenty of sky, giving a feeling of freedom and solitude (in a good way). Of course this one is also amazing by the perfect capture of the birds. Talk about freedom! We are really flying with them over the beautiful landscape. I like the B&W here, it makes the picture more "dreamy". I agree that the dark band of the lake is maybe not necessary.
Really well seen and well done!

Joli travail,ces volatiles donnent un mouvement très doux à l'image. Pourquoi avoir garder le fond, même si en fait il ne dérange pas. Amitié/jr
