Photographer's Note

as a complement to my yesterdays upload on lake Leman, this one has been taken from the same spot and at the same time of day as yesterdays photo. The view is simply 180 degrees opposite yesterday's showing the dents du midi illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun, a mountain range in the Valais alpes along the river Rhone, before it enters lake Leman

un ottimo scatto quasi monocromatico per i toni del blu delle acque del lago che sfumano nell'azzurro del cielo inframmezzati solo dal bianco della neve.
Una ottima composizione che trova il giusto complemento con le fronde dell'albero che donano la giusta profondità all'immagine.

Bonjour Daniel ,
Ces Dents du Midi sont vraiment de très belles montagnes . J'aime beaucoup ici les tonalités blueues et les superbes nuages . Deux petites remarques cependant : l'idée de la branche en haut est bonne , mais peut etre pas tout à fait harmonieuse ; je dois reconnaitre que c'est toujours difficile . Et secondo , ton "trade mark" n'est elle pas un peu trop grosse ?

Looking at the tree,I can see the ajusting of the photoshopping is over the top,but still this scene is impossible to ignore Daniel,a true beauty,superbe mountains!

Vivid and sharp color and cntarst are so tasetful to see. Nice blue and white color waorld creation!

Hi Daniel,

I was hoping you would post another picture in conjunction with yesterdays. I could simply sit and stare at the lake and mountains for hours right around this particular region. Would Chateau de Chillon be next in line perhaps? :) Once again, this is amazing light you've captured highlighting the snow capped mountains and showing their rugged form. Maybe it's because I've experienced this in person, but you've managed to really bring me into the moment with this picture. There's a bit of a halo effect around the tree, but that doesn't take away one bit from this beauty. Thanks for posting these, keep 'em coming!

Hello Daniel,
I always love to see the majestic snow-covered towering peaks of the Alps! There is undoubtedly some special charm about them that you want to see more and more. I like that you included the pine-tree branch in the FG as it gives a sense of prospective. Nice contrast, too!

(I think the people in the mid-west and east coast of the U.S. feel the same way you do--plenty of snow even in late March!)
