On the way up Photo

Photographer’s Note

As times goes by and you run out of photos to upload on TE, you search amongst thousands of photos you have taken the last few years and sometimes you find one which qualifies for the TE site.

This photo was taken on the way up to Matterhorn, Wallis, Switzerland. On the other side of the mountains in the background lies Italy. If you dont know the Matterhorn I can tell you that the shape of the world famous Toblerone chocolate is shaped after this mountain (See previous uploaded photos).

Lovely! The background looks like a paitning. I'd love to see this done with a polarizer to add blue and zip to the sky and mountians; but that's just me.

Le paysage volcanique à l'avant-plan contraste avec la belle chaine de montagne dont la cime se confond avec les nuages au second plan. J'aime beaucoup !

It surely qualifies for TE and I'm glad you found it, Allan. A splendid mountanious scenery, captured with a very good DOF. The snow-capped mountain range in the back looks amazing. The Wallis is quite high up on my lists of places to visit, thanks for reminding me with this great shot.

Wonderful shot. I agree that the peaks with fluffy clouds above looks just like a painting. I`m glad you found this in your collection.
