Photographer's Note
I saw this spiral set of stairs located near the hotel where I had spent a couple of days in Zermatt, what seems like forever ago unfortunately, and was drawn to its form, design and placement on the exterior façade.
Because of the obstructed view point at ground level, no matter how many different places and angles I tried to take this shot, I could never get everything to line up correctly and it’s always bothered me that it’s not quite right. Regardless of that factor, I liked that this section of the building had something just a little out of the ordinary in such a traditional Swiss village.

Hello Jason,
nice to see someone a stair alike this onnect the floors of this modern building but from the other side find it a bit strange for my Greek eyes to passing by people in front of my door and the most important serve thiefs to approch and the higher s.

Hi Jason,
very attractive composition with these spiral stairs. Are they fire stairs? It looks really out of ordinary.
You could correct the perspective in pp, but it doesn't bother me. Warm regrads

technically it is a fine picture, Jason, with perfect sharpness over the staircase and windows.
Frankly, I do not remember Zermat has 5 stories buildings, so this is a bit surprising me. I was there on 5/1980, things had changed, eventually.
Have a nice Sunday,
Ike

Hi Jason
my kind of shot this, full of everyday elements that produce patterns and fascinating shapes that transend into their own little works of art. A superb composition, observation and presentation. Love it!
Enjoy your Sunday - regards Brian.

hi Jason,
This reminded me instantly of the shot you have of the staircase fading into shadow on the silo (one of my favourite of all the shots here on TE!) and this, like that has a great unique feel to it. If this was a fire escape, I would worry about how dizzy I would be at the bottom having run down, but it looks so much better than the big iron monstrosities that so many buildings have.
Really cool scene, captured perfect. Thanks
All the best
Noel

Hi Jason,
amazing graphic shot, its strict color palette adds to the stylish impression. Love the blue light reflecting from the windows. Have you ever tried climbing this kind of stairs?:) Never mind the widening perspective, the shot is cool.
My best wishes

Ciao Jason
