Photographer’s Note
The castle, with its imposing round tower, has a commanding hillside position over the town of Martigny. It was constructed in the early 13th Century, although its foundations date back to the 11th Century. It was intentionally burned following a battle in 1475, but due to its strategic military importance, it was restored.

Hi Sandy,Well framed image ,the castle correctly dominates the scene and the diagonal line of trees creates a feeling of height. The b&w enhances the texture of the stones and adds to the ruggedness of the overall setting .Built for defence. Thanks Tom

Excellente idée que d'avoir présenté cette tour en noir et blanc.
Bonne journée.
