Photographer's Note

Amazing POV, Olivier. The height and scale of the dam is well expressed, and the scene behind it is incredible in its own right - had you cropped the dam out and simply presented the upper third as its own composition it would have been quite beautiful! With the dam, it is both beautiful and impressive. My one criticism is that I would have liked to see the walkway included all the way to the lower edge of the frame, rather than vanishing for the most part, but that is a small matter in an otherwise excellent b&w shot.

Bonjour Olivier ,

now thats a cool way to compose a photo of a damn!
I'll have to keep this in mind the next time i travel to Las Vegas and the Hoover damn.
wonderful and sexy looking curve that expands the width of the frame.

Salut Olivier

Hello Olivier - I love the sweeping curve of the dam wall, even against the magnificent scenery it has a powerful presence thanks to your composition and POV. You choice of B&W allows the wall to take centre stage, no colour distractions and a seamless presentation. Go well. Rosemary

Hello Olivier,
Excellent point of view: the curves of the dam
creates a lots of depth and also a lots of
highness. The vertical position emphasize the
highness extra. Composition and light management
are great. The B&W makes the picture timeless.
