Photographer's Note

The canton of Valais produces about 56'000 tones of fruits a year, one of them is the apricot.
The present picture shows the result of a desperate fight against the frost, which consists of watering the fruits during the night in order to create an ice protection around the flower that would act like being inside an igloo and fight the frost (dramatic drop of temperature after some hot spring days).
The idea is to keep the flower alive in maintaining it at a temperature of 0 degree Celsius in order to ensure the fruit.
