Photographer's Note
arriving at long last at the boat house on Bettmersee after a long hike up and down the Swiss alps, we are treating us to a well earned break with a nice cold platter with local dried meat, smoked bacon and alpine cheeses. To wash this down a beautiful glass of locally produced "petit arvigne" white wine and the day is saved.

This could easily be a wine advertisement, Daniel! Great framing and DOF to really enhance the textures and colors of a wonderful looking snack with a fantastic view. Well worth the trip just for this, I'd imagine!

Bonsoir Daniel,
Voilà une photo bien appétissante! Belles couleurs vives et la composition est intéressante avec son plan rapproché qui laisse une place au paysage. C'est presque comme si on y était, saveurs en moins.

Hello Daniel - Your hike was worth it just to sit, relax and enjoy this tempting platter at the end. Yummy! A fine use of DOF and a very well composed and considered shot. Would make a great addition to an advertising brochure. Tempting! Have a fine day. Rosemary

Hello Daniel,
This photo reminds me that it's about time I should start preparing dinner. Unfortunately there will be neither smoked bacon nor alpine cheeses today and my view will be the same boring look towards the school across the yard as any other day. But your fine composition helps me to dream of better times and better places. And it awoke my appetite.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Daniel,
A very fitting conclusion to the journey up the mountain, which I have found fascinating> The image itself is better than an ad, and works perfectly in making me hungry. Great composition too, I would imagine this was a particularly enjoyable meal!
All the best

Witaj Daniel!
Very professional, considered shot. Good framing and DOF, great idea to include only half of the glass. I like the landscape in the background, the shot would not be the same without it!
Pozdrawiam :-)

Hello Daniel,
What a great idea to take this close up shot of this well earnt meal. I like the way that we see just half the glass and a glimpse of the distant mountains - nicely composed.
Kind Regards, Ann

Damn, I'm getting hungry. I know these assortments of Bündnerfleisch, bacon and your excellent Swiss cheese only too well, and accompanied by a good white wine, my Lord! You created a perfect invitation to the Goms...
BTW: Why is Swiss wine almost completely unknown outside Switzerland? Because the Swiss know very well what they've got in their glasses and drink it all for themselves!

Daniel, thank you so very much for your kind words and keeping me and my family in your thoughts and prayers. As I try to get back into the mix of things here on TE, I read the critiques of my last two photos and find it very hard holding back tears. It's nice to have an extended family that hasn't even met me before, which makes you all even that more special to me.
OH MY!! What a wonderful reward waiting for you on this plate. The reflection coming off the wine glass is intense and masterful. Stunning POV and BG blurring, just perfect!!

Ciao dear Daniel
Ahhh now this is the life! What could be better than a view like that, peace, tranquillity, good cheese, food and vino? My blood pressure is lowering as I look at this. I really like your POV here, what would we call it? A food's eye view. The depth of field is good and I like how you have used the tight frame on that lovely chilled glass of white wine. Idyllic is the only word for it, thank you for capturing so beautifully the atmosphere of your experience.
Warm regards
Lisa

Bonjour Daniel,
This photo could illustrate the TOS, ii's all about the difference between:
* a "staged" object by someone else - like in a shop, on a market or at the restaurant - which is "daily life", with a rather good view on the environment.
+ note: with a nice cold platter with local dried meat, smoked bacon and alpine cheeses. To wash this down a beautiful glass of locally produced "petit arvigne" white wine and the day is saved.
and
* a self staged object on your own kitchen table.
It looks great and it makes me wanting to go there, have a good look at the mountains view, walk around and then... Try that lunch of course... :o)
Amicalement - Viviane
