Backstage Switzerland Photo

Photographer’s Note

with less than two pages on TE, Solothurn is a Swiss canton sounding widely unknown for it has none of the nature highlights found elsewhere in the country. But everybody who has transited through Switzerland on the A2 has crossed this tiny canton, do you remember those traffic jams near Olten or Oensingen ??? There it was !

Other than the A2 waiting fun, Solothurn has a tiny similarly named capital known for its yearly film festival and the rest of the canton that you can see on this photo is made of the gentle Jura hills in a number of valleys, very quiet areas patrolled by cows armies as here just under the Scheltenpass. Since I have posted some cow photos already I preferred to emphasize here the typical hilly landscape where the greens are only perturbated by the roads and tracks, but if you looks closely at the field in the middle, here they are the cows ;-)

This happens to be the 100th photo from Switzerland I post here.

Oh, I see we both post Swiss pictures today!:) Like this one, gently undulating green hills and a very deep perspective underlined by these serpent-like roads. Amazing amount of shades of green...

C'est la Suisse comme on se l'imagine, mon cher Jean-Yvces : buccolique, riante et verdoyante. Et c'est amusant pour un canton un peu isolé, le nombre de chemins. Mènent-ils tous à Rome ?

Hi Jean...what a backstage!
come in Milan to look our backstage/suburbs....
fantastic POV with wonderful colours over that mounts with hill shape!
excellent view, fresh cold air...the exactly opposite of the air of Milan today.
at 8 a.m. there was 32°....imagine at noon....

Magnifique paysage. Je reconnaît bien ces contreforts du Jura qui vont tranquillement disparaître entre Soleure, Bâle et Zürich. La lumière est très belle, bien vu !

tu me fais déjà 'baver' avec ces paysages suisses, cela me rappelle qu'il ne me reste que 10 jours avant le départ pour ce superbe pays.
J'aime ici les bosquets qui s'éparpillent de ci , de là, interrompant le vert clair des prairies par les teintes plus foncées.
Un joli ciel bien couvert que tu as réussi à capturer.

HI Jean Yves, this place is beautiful is it in France , mexico or New Zeland. On first look I thisnk it is somewhere in Slovenia. Nice explanation about it, for me litlle nounderstanding becouse I did not reed older notice.

Oh my God!!
Jean, this is incredible. Well exposed paths disappearing to the other side of the slopes. The colourfull play of the clouds and shadows provides the indepth DOF. Love your shot of layers.

Elle est superbe ta photo, magnifique panorama, un éclairage irrégulier qui valorise couleurs et relief et puis bien, la route qui serpente ... ça donne envie de la parcourir afin de trouver d'autres POV qui ne doivent pas manquer dans ce décor.

Celui-ci est un paysage magnifique, avec une bonne composition.
Les prés alpins, les groupes d'arbres, les chemins sinueux qui les croisent, les douces collines et les montagnes dans l'arrière plan sont une image précieuse, très agréable.
Le ciel est spectaculaire avec les nuages, et la lumière est charmante.
J'aime ta photo.

The verdance of late spring overwhelms the senses here, in this quiet backwater so well described in your note. There is a good sense of depth and proportion in the shot. The eye follows the tracks of the little roads up the hillside and also to the secondary separate scene on the left. A good exposure level with superb clarity. Have a good weekend.

For some reason I have been critiquing a lot of photos of highways today ... I think maybe because I will be on the road for a pretty long time in india.
This photo is a beauty, i would have considered cropping a bit more on the top ... but that is just me

Very well composed and captured scenery from Ramiswil. Beautiful view at the hills and the mountains.Lovely different tones of the green colour. This scenery reminds me Niederosterreich where I lived 25 years ago.
