Photographer’s Note

Soluthurn is a very pleasant and beautiful small town in Switserland. It is situated halfway Basel and Bern on the river the Aare. On the northeast side are the long mountainranges of the Jura and on the southwest side is the broad cental valley of Switserland.
The town is famous for its boroque architecture and its 11 beautiful fountains that are spread all over the old town.
Here you see a view from the stairs that lead to the huge baroque cathedral.

This is merry Switzerland as I have known it, having spent severals long and pleasant holidays just in that area...
A fine and interesting composition that shows the square and the little alley in this warm afternoon light. I like the colours and the gay atmosphere.

I think the strong light and the color contrast of the buildings make up for the shadow on the statue facing away in this POV. I like the spire punching through and you had left it visible desptie the wire going through.

Very nicely captured view from the cathedral and a really good scene of the neighborhood which I will never mind to live here!

Your elevated POV works well giving a good overview of the little town. We seem to be sharing the view with the statue. Our eye is led through the narrow street to the church at the end. There are lots of interesting details to see.
