Photographer’s Note
View of the old town of Olten across the river Aare. The old tower and covered bridge are distinctive landmarks.
But most just travel through this town by train as it's a major junction of Swiss railways. Quickest train connections to Zurich, Luzern, Bern, Biel and Basel are all roughly half an hour.

Excellent shot of this swollen river with the covered bridge crossing it. Light management is top.

Kari, I don't know how often I have already passed through Olten (>250?). You're right it is the center of the swiss railway system. Nothing of this fact can be seen in your image and that is good. Olten is actually a forgotten little treasure and everyone just passes by with the train annoyed that there is another insignificant stop.
The composition is really nice, but the shadow parts on the bridge are to prominent and using HDR technique on this one might have been a good choice.

Hi Kari,
Your framing is really unique; the diagonal of the bridge intersects with the village in a way that seems to form a V. The large format allows us to appreciate the details such as the curving stone steps leading to the river in the FG as well as the details of the village. I also like the interplay of light and shadows.

Hello Kari.
Intersting subject. I don't think I've ever seen a bridge with a roof like this! Great point of view and composition. Lovely warm tone of the colours on this appearently nice summer's day.
Beautiful buildings.
