Photographer’s Note
Pre-sunrise view from a mountain top called Belchenfluh down into the fog ridden "Swiss plateau".
Each fall and winter, cold air trapped between the mountain ranges of Alps and Jura forms a quite persistant sea of fog at about 800-900m. Down below, it makes for dull and chilly days, even more frustrating considering that above the fog sunny days with great far view are the rule.
Luckily switzerland is a hilly country and relieve is often just a few minutes drive away. The location for this shot was a 1100m hill-top of the Jura mountains, less than 10km from Olten.
The fog, the frosted over meadows and the dark, bare woods make for nice contrasts, almost screaming for black&white.

Un beau travail de noir et blanc adrian,
les nuages et le brouillard se mêlent pour envelppper la montagne. c'est superbe.

Nice work, the clouds on this photo loo kind of surreal but yet they were there, good shot, well done.

I really like this king of shot, with the clouds or fog swirling around the mountains and trees. This has the effect of creating different layers, and giving the shot a lot of depth. The black & white really works well too. Well done!

Ciao Adrien, nice b&w shot, but think at a x-pan crop....

Wonderful B&W image. The viewpoint is superb, the low fog lies over the land like a layer of dry ice would over a concert stage.

Adrian i'm adding this to my list of favourites, it is the kind of wonderful b&w landscape even Ansel Adams would be proud of. Inspirational shot.jez
