Mt Titlis (3238 m) is easily accessed by three cable cars from the town of Engelberg, which can be reached by train from Luzern. At the top station of the third cable car, near the summit, you can see views like this across the Swiss Alps. Looking to the south we see the two pointed peaks of the Fleckistock (3417 m) on the left and the Sustenhorn (3503 m) on the right. In the centre a large tongue of a glacier protrudes out over the rocks.
The infrastructure in Switzerland is so good that I could go from my hotel room in Luzern (33 km away) to the top of this alpine peak without using private transport. The Swiss are masters of technology and organisation, but they don't make a big deal of it; they just get on with the job.

Beautiful alpine mountain shot. So high up where the mountain meets the sky and clouds. I can feel the thin yet refreshing cool air. Switzerland certainly provide lot of such place, except they are so expensive to get to, but worth the money. this is a good shot, even in the mid of the day where the light isn't always ideal, but you mange a good clarity and fine composition.

this is a very beautiful view and an excellent composition!
This combination of white/bluish snow, sunshine and peaky mountains create a fascinating atmosphere..
When I was on Mt. Titlis I was very impressed by the snowy cold mountains.. Fortunately, the day was very sunny though quite cold: -20C at the top! (it was February)
I also absolutely agree with you regarding the 2nd paragraph in the Note to your photo. This is what I do every time I am in Luzern (I specially choose it because it is almost in the centre of the country, which is very convenient): right from my hotel room I can travel to any part of Switzerland and enjoy the "job"! :)
