Hello,

Aujourd'hui, je fais un saut de puce en ville de Neuchâtel pour vous présenter un batiment qui fait partie du patrimoine de la ville.

L'Hôtel DuPeyrou a été construit au 18ème siècle par Pierre Alexandre Dupeyrou, ami de Jean-Jacques Rousseau. A cette époque, l'édifice était perdu au milieu des vignes et ses jardins descendaient jusqu'au lac.
De nos jours et à cause du terrain gagné sur le lac pour l'agrandissement de la ville, l'Hôtel se trouve presque en plein centre ville.

Il abrite, aujourd'hui, un restaurant gastronomique.

Hello,

Today, I make a small jump downtown of Neuchâtel to present a building to you which belongs to the inheritance of the city.

The DuPeyrou Hotel was built at the 18th century by Pierre-Alexandre Dupeyrou, friend of Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
At that time, the building was lost in the middle of the vines and its gardens went down to the lake.
Nowadays and because of the ground gained on the lake for the enlarging of the city, the Hotel is almost in full centre town.

It shelters, today, a gourmet restaurant.

Tiens je me rappelle pas que tu nous l'ait dej amontre ce batiment, joli dans le beau contexte du parc et pris dans des conditions qui permetttent de chouettes hautes lumieres et une impression generale tres lumineuse, aussi grace a ces beaux nuages.

Hello Dominique,

I notice the neatly trimmed trees, that are framing the lead-in to the hotel!
Sharp fine details in the architecture, rich colours and the scene is topped by an attractive sky...
A well balanced almost symmetrical composition!

Je t'avais dit que j'ai mangé là-bas pour notre souper de boite il y a 2 ans et que le chef de cuisine est australien ???? C'était délicieux !
C'est sympa de le voir de jour et en été avec des couleurs bien saturées et un ciel fortement polarizé. Les nuages sont hyperdynamiques.

Un ciel des plus beaux comme toile de fond pour cette magnifique architecture. J'aime la perspective de l'allée qui conduit à la belle demeure.

It looks more like a stately manor house than a hotel. It certainly looks like a beautiful place to stay. The symmetrical composition works very well; symmetry is so satisfying to the eye. The sky is wonderful and is a great addition to the image.

Hello Dominique,

I see that you works with 100 ISO, I think that absolutely not have to are fear for use ISO 400 that get you certainly more light to both sides, the 5D is a very good camera, not very quick but very efficiently.
But I find your composition and your presentation excellent, lovely for look it. TFS.

A fine capture of the building and under the right weather backed by the fluffy clouds. A working centered placement here D.

J'aime beaucoup le ciel avec les beaux nuages blancs et la façon dont les sapins sont coupés, avec un beau jardin plein de fleurs. C'est un bel hôtel.
J'aime bien la perspective.

Perfect Dominique! Or should I say: gourmet photography! :) Don't have nothing to point here. All is in the right place. Beautiful light, great sky, perfect vibrant natural colors. Maybe you just sharpen it more than what I would do, but that's a personal opinion. The symmetry on the bottom is great. Now that I am looking really carefully, you could have started the road green "walls" right in both corners of the picture. You can still do that cropping the entire picture. Great one!
