He was in the harbour to look to the lake of Neuchâtel, while ships left the harbour and it was possible to see the heron with in background the national flag of the ships

C'est chouette ce héron patriote !
La focale aide beaucoup pour obtenir un portrait sur l'échassier.
Je note une bonne mise au point sélective.

An interesting background for the "wild-life" photo, Christian! Blurred Swiss flag works really well here. Nice work with the telescopic angle zoom.

The heron is framed very nicely by the flag, and the photo is made even more interesting by the sharpness of the heron contrasted with the blurriness of the flag. Very well done!

My title would have been 'Swiss Heron'
Great shot, love the sharpness and the background is very good as a contrast.
