Historians regard 1178 as the year of the birth of Lucerne, as the opening of the Gotthard –Pass around 1220 created the need for fortification wall with towers, and it was constructed
during this time and stretched from the Grendel via Grabenstrasse to the Mühleplatz
square. It also encompassed the left bank of the city, ending near the lake with the Chapel -
Bridge and Water Tower.
In the picture is the part of the northern side of the wall, facing south , and on the WS I post an opposite look facing toward north, beautiful tourist attraction.
Also, see my post on Luzern from Dec.1st'09 and a Ws .

a wonder view shot of fantastic tower and wall,
strange constructions and your POV is nice to capture those figures like in old tales,
the tower looks like a watching man and wall looks the gate toward unknown place.
thank you for your wonderful picture,

Good composition, including the bridge and the tower at the same time, from the point of view of a pedestrian. Interesting work, congratulations!

You're capturing well this place by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tasteful/strong wall with tower. The tower with red roof looks like characteristic. And, the surrounding greenery draws out a good atmosphere as well as the shadow projected to the road.
