St. Ursanne monastery, a photo from Jura, West

Photographer's Note

here we see the cloister of the former monastery from St. Ursanne in the Jura region of french speaking Switzerland.
The cloister was built in the 14th century on the foundation of a earlier structure and was restored in 1551. It features ogive windows, many of them with a three-part section and pent roof.

Beautiful colours of a lovely late summer day. I like the way the light divides the cloister into dark and bright green parts.

Hi Daniel,
There is something so attractive about those blues and greens, never mind the fact that there is such a beautiful monastery in it as well. your positioning of the cross against the trees in the far background shows it off wonderfully. A really nice image of a really nice building, thank you.
