This weeks little hike brought us to the charming little town of St. Ursanne in the Jura, a region of Switzerland of gentle rolling hills, small towns and free roaming horses in the french speaking part of the country.
St. Ursanne was founded by an Irish monk by the name of Ursicinus in ad 612. We see here the bridge built in 1728 and is consacrated to Johanes von Nepomuk. St. Ursanne has a acutal population of 618 inhabitants. It was a more important town in the middle ages when the monastry was still in working order.
a good week to all Trekkers

bella cittadina e bel ponte, dall'ottima inquadratura si gustano le architetture antiche che si affacciano sul fiume.

Ancient stone bridge always makes intriguing subject due to its classic nature which own that speclal characteristic and charm and this makes no different as being the most important element making the shot works. Particularly amazing is the merging of equally attractive row of old dwelling along the river. The warm light shines thru' beautifully with subtle shadows adding the extra depth, coloring is very fine although I feel a bit more of white correction will appear more natural. A delightful display of peaceful rural scene expectly taken. Well done.
