Nope, this wasn’t taken at a KFC…but I did steal their slogan. Sorry Colonel Sanders. lol
And thanks to Gert for the idea, based on a recent note. :)
I’m guessing the location might have been a surprise for most in connection with this picture. Far from the American South where it’s extremely well known and immensely popular, this barbeque was found along the shoreline of Lac Léman during a summer festival.
I don’t know what the festival was about, but the smell of freshly seasoned and grilled chicken blessed the air with a smoky flavor that guided me towards this particular spot. Mmmmeaty goodness!
Although quite familiar with BBQ, I thought this would be a fun and non-traditional shot from somewhere you might not expect. I actually wanted to include the famous Jet d’Eau in the background to really make it an unusual pairing, but unfortunately there were too many trees blocking the view, so I decided to simply concentrate on the details and items from this work station.
Time to ring the dinner bell. Bon appétit, one more time!
Thanks for stopping by.

Excellent detail snapshot from barbeque corner. Such summer festivals are organized almost in each Swiss village during warm summer months. Plenty of barbequed beef, pork, chicken and great variety of sausages accompanied by cold beer or red/white vine. The food and drinks are usually at very reasonable prices.
Most of these festivals are usually organized by local sport, music, singers, etc.. groups. This help them to finance their activities during following 12 months.
Thanks for posting it.
Very well done.

Haha next photo with the food, what is with you? Are you on diet? I am a carnivorous person, so this is something for me. It looks quite simple but I wouldn't mind a piece. Fine shot, with interesting details.
Warm regrads Malgo
I am going forward with my plans :)

I`m not too sure how the Health and Food police would re act over here with all of that uncovered food but the golden brown chicken legs look scrumptious,me,I`m going just about to get some brekkie.
All the best

This title reminds me a slogan of one fast food company "Lip's Licking Flavor". I am hungry and your photo is very provocative for me. Sorry, I can't to see it ))
Just a power of art... )

Be my guest ;-). This really looks tempting and makes me start wondering what to have for lunch and dinner tomorrow (today is already fixed). With chickens like these we can do without any Jet d'Eau.
All the best,

Finalement, je crois que je développe une petite faim. On est très loin de la recette secrète du célèbre colonel mais que cela semble bon. J'aimerais voir cette photo en odorama.Le poulet doit avoir un très bon goût de fumée.

I can only imagine the smell of the oily roasted chicken, jason. But frankly - not my cup-of-tea...as the English might say.
The golden color of the food is the only bright spot over the chaos there, a warning message maybe...

Mmmmm indeed, in fact maybe I would go so far as to say mmmmmmbop. You have made me fatter with your recent posts, I hope you're happy. Everytime I click here Thereis some sort of meaty goodness waiting to be devoured, and the worst thing I have no chicken in the house and dinner will consist of cereal tonight, haha. Still, a man can dream and it's so much easier when you have a pic like this to stare at.
I reckon if I try really hard, I can make Cheerios taste like BBQ chicken?
Have a good hump day. (sounds rather odd when said that way!!)

Sur le coup je me suis dit, non il n'est quand même pas rentré dans les cuisines de KFC! :)
Un barbecue bien présenter. Ces cuisses de poulet rôties accompagnées de sauce m'ont ouvert l'appétit!

looking at all this chicken being BBQ'd brings up one important topic...burnt food.
So many people say that the burnt portions of BBQ'd meat causes cancer and it should be removed or picked off.
Me my friend, i love burnt chicken! Bring it on, in fact i like my steak a bit burnt too!
I like my steak well done, none of this rare stuff for me man lol
we can see lots of burnt chicken on the grill inside, give me a piece of that.
fun post, thanks for making me hungry!

there's always a nice and inviting "smoking flavour" around places like this (it even creeps out of closed souvlaki restaurants in Greece and fills whole neighbourhoods:) I like very much how your picture evokes flavours and aromas, textures and colours have been rendered with stunning precision and the way you handled the alternation of light and shadow was masterful. The arrangement of the various elements looks random and perfect at the same time. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

A very appetizing photo, but I am surprised you found this in Geneva. I did not realize barbecuing was popular in Switzerland.
