Photographer's Note
Sharing a moment of friendhip with someone precious is undoubtfully a source of wellbeing.
You don't have to talk. And you don't even have to look in the same direction.
You just have to BE there. And let yourself go by the warmth of it.

Very nice Gal!
I like your new series, I see I've lost some of your last pictures...I like that you cut it like a panorama and the guy on the right is amusing.
Bravo Gal!

Bonjour Gal,
Amicalement \ jr

I feel a disconnect between the image and your note. The sentiments expressed are lovely and I'm certain heartfelt, but there is nothing in the image that conveys what your note tells us it is about. We've talked before about how evocative images can be and that feeling responses are valid in assessing work. But I don't think it is useful for the photographer to ascribe feelings to an image. Circumstances perhaps, but not feelings. I believe it is better to let the image speak for itself and allow the viewer his or her own emotional response.
With regard to the image I appreciate both the use of grain and the way you've chosen to display the elements. I'm less enamored than Richard with the man's return gaze. This feels a bit voyeuristic to me and I'm not certain what the man's gaze behind those sunglasses represents. I'm interested in where this new direction of yours takes you but this image misses the mark for me.

Nice double portrait you made here - I can remember this kind of moments.
Have you ever seen the movie "The Truman show" - I came in mind of a scene from that film - Truman and hes best freind sitting at a bridge ... If you haven't seen it - try to get it - you won't regret.
