...yes once again, silvery evening on Lac de Morat, or Murtensee...

It is the smallest of the three lakes in the Jura region, with Lake Biel and Lake Neuchâtel being the other two. On its southern shores is located the small town of Murten which gives the lake its name.

It lies approximately at co-ordinates 46°56′N 7°5′E. The surface area of the lake is 22.8 km². It is located in the cantons of Fribourg and Vaud. The main tributary is the river Broye. Water leaves the lake through the Broye Canal (Canal de la Broye) which leads into Lake Neuchâtel.

Lake Murten is 8.2 km long and up to 2.8 km wide. Its maximal depth is 45 m. The volume of the lake is approximately 0.55 km³. The total catchment area is 693 km². The water remains in the lake for an average 1.6 years.

Hi Ivana
I'm not normally a fan of B&W scenery but here it works so well. There are lots of contrasts of the reeds and how the eye is drawn to the boat by the reflection of the sun. It would have been nice just to wait to have the whole reflection between the boat and the dinghy.
Regards
Nikki

Hello Ivana,

Tu as réalisé une très belle monochromie ! La lumière de ce coucher de soleil semble rayonner sur toute le photographie ! Le point de vue est bie choisi et le fait d'avoir intégré un bateau est excellent !
Bravo !

A+

Hi Ivana
I like very much your black and white treatment with the bluish tones. Love too the square format of the frame in which foreground interest and boat are ideally placed for balanced compositon. The setting sun is a jewel.
Nice one!
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Ivana.

I think that even with this nice composition and moment there is something bad... sorry.

I like very much black and white shots... but it not was the best choice here. Colour would be much more interesting.
At least, I think so.

Regards.
